clunk sound when pulling away ?

(1/3) > >>

LaserBlue:
Well when ever i go to start my car, engine on, in gear, release handbrake just as i pull away it makes a clunk sound?

mostly from the back end?

anything to do with the handbrake?

happens mainly on cold starts

Alexander:
Could it be the brakes sticking during the night and the clonking is just them freeing up??

182_blue:
Brakes as above or could it be ABS self testing ?, my old car did this

LaserBlue:
well its mostly happens when i finish work around 4am and start my car..

however it did happen once when the car was warmed up, defo comes from the rear end.

Greeners:
Does sound like the pads sticking to the cold wet discs. I get it on wet mornings or on a Monday morning after cleaning over the weekend.
