Cylinder bumping has been a big problem for a few years now, I work for a lock manufacturer and we try to specify anti bump cylinders to customers as often as possible. Too many oem upvc door suppliers use cheap Chinese or Eastern European cylinders in their doors which can be bumped in seconds by a pro. Most cylinders that are anti bump are actually kitemarked on the face of them now so you can identify their security level. It's defo worthwhile fitting additional security door bolts etc and if possible a house alarm with a chime connected to the door sensor. Ours is set to it's highest volume so you can hear the front door open from anywhere in the house/back garden. A guy over the road from us had his cooper S stolen earlier this year, they had walked into his house on a Sunday afternoon while he was in the back garden, picked up his key and left. The guy thought he had misplaced his key and thought nothing of it until he woke up and the scum had been back and drove off in his car during the night! I take my keys to bed with me now, sad but safe!
