Anyone with Natwest?

If so, have you used their Quick Deposit boxes?

I dont trust them very much, but I had to pay a large cheque in last week on Friday. It was around 4pm, and there was a huge queue, so I thought Id use the quick deposit box instead.

Usually when I pay a cheque in, it shows in my account straight away, but is only available after a few days once its cleared, as per normal.
However, this cheque I put in via the quick deposit box on Friday at 4pm still hasnt shown in my account whatsoever.

Is that normal?

I'm with Natwest and used the deposit box a couple of times. It usually takes 2-3 days for it to show up.

If your unsure you can ring telephone banking and give them the Cheque no. they should then be able to tell you where it is in the process :happy2:

If my knowledge is correct:

If it was paid into your account after 3.30 it wont be processed until the next working day. So as you paid it in on Friday at 4pm it wont be processed until today so it will show on the account tomorrow.

But for peace of mind call the telephone banking and they will give you the full details

Don't know how quick it'll take to clear but I always get it to print out a little copy of the cheque paid in.
