Just bought a GTI ED30
« on: October 23, 2010, 09:00:55 pm »
Hi guys.
I have wanted to buy a GTI for some time now and finally picked this up today after three weeks waiting for the DVLA to change the plates.
The car is bog standard on an 08 plate and has got 9000 miles on the clock.I just drove back from the VW dealer in leeds and i am very impressed with the car.
The wife gets to have a go tomorrow. :scared:
The pics are the ones VW sent me.

Hi and welcome. Love the car. It's got a nice options - mfsw and highline display. The parrot is retrofit - was it by dealer or previous owner?

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

Just spotted the cruise - didn't bother to zoom in on the iPhone. Lol.

Hi greeners.
Cheers mate.

Hi Stealthwolf.
Excuse my ignorance but what is the highline display ? the parrot was fitted by the previous owner.

Hi Gaz
Is there something different about the armrest ?

Hi J
The parrot control has been moved and now sits on the rail next to the gear stick.

Highline display is the full-height display that allows more control over the functionality of the car, displays tracks, satnav directions etc.

Midline is the half-height display that has only a trip computer.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

Ok then i just had a look a the manual and found that the display is operated by the MFSW.

Hi Rich
So all i have to do is give VW UK a bell and i'll find out what number the car is ?
