Steve, mine came with there's instructions, i just wondered if there's an easy way

Updates Etka 7 from build 710 to 731.

   Step 1 - Unrar

   Step 2 - Open ETKA7 Updates directory

   Step 3 - You now have 4 folders that need to have the contents moved to
            the proper directory.

            Open & Move all files in each directory to the following paths.

            Audi.Updates.711-731    -> C:etkaDATAAUUpdate
            Seat.Updates.240-260    -> C:etkaDATASEUpdate
            Skoda.Updates.246-266   -> C:etkaDATASKUpdate
            VW.Updates.711-731      -> C:etkaDATASKUpdate

   Step 4 - Now comes the part where you will sit through a bunch of update
            installs. Please know in advance this will take aproximately about
            30 minutes or more in time depending on your system and patience!

            Once you start the first update it will continue to install each
            update one after the other so be patient and install everything.

            ** The password you need to install is case sensitive so copy it
               exactly as shown below and paste it each time the updates ask
               you for it.  IF THE SETUP PROGRAM STYLE CHANGES, THE PASSWORD
         ALSO CHANGES.

               Passwords: AKTEForum.TK

              avaf

            Go to C:etkaDATAAUUpdate

            Launch eupdAU711D.exe and continue the install until its
            finished and it will automatically launch etka.

            Close etka and restart it.

            You've now patched your etka release 7.0 from build 711 to

Updates Etka 7 from build 597 to 710.

Go to:

http://files.mytouareg.info/autoindex.php

They have all the updates for ETKA V7 and V7.1 The V7 updates are really up to date. Currently Version 740 from 12/2/09.

Note you will need to register (but it's free) to get access and also the password for the installation.

Just make sure that in the directory - ETKA/DATA/VW there is a folder called "UPDATE". This is where the update files from the above web site need to be copied. Upon restarting ETKA, it will see there is an update there and ask if you want to update. It really is as easy as that.

My copy of ETKA downloads the updates straight from the VAG server! :D  Unfortunately, I borrowed the CD from someone and didn't copy it.

I also have ETOS which covers VW, Audi, SEAT and Skoda, but thats at work and costs £20+VAT a month.  They send us update discs monthly in that price.  A bargain when you think about it!
