RNS510 Version B, Ipod Sound Problem
« on: October 27, 2010, 09:15:39 pm »
Hi Guys

I need some help with trying to resolve an issue with the quality of sound my ipod is giving me?

Dom was kind enough to fit my RNS510 today and everything was fine until i've tried to listen to my ipod. I have a factory ipod kit through the armrest, which previously worked perfectly when using the RCD300.

I still have to select CD twice, as i did on the RCD300 and it appears to still think that it's trying to find the old CD changer that the ipod kit replaced?

The AUX level is on Medium as i thought that this might be part of the issue, so changed it from HIGH?

It also doesn't show any track names / text?

Extremely confused

Can anyone help? :happy2:

If it's the original iPod adapter then it will not show the track names, you need the MDI kit to do this on the RNS.

You also need to move the ground pin for the iPod kit as this is in a different place on the RNS vs. The RCD.
