Right, been to collect my car today. Got to Revo HQ, my cars parked all washed and fuelled up ready to go.
Chatted with Kev and Carl, talked few afew things here and there - bounced some ideas about.
Kev handed me my keys, said go take it for a spin, see what i think.
Inital impression....... the cars eagre. Keen to rev, minimal (and i mean very minimal) lag.
Once warmed through propperly.......the first real drive...... i was pleasently surprised on how breathless the car is, it loves revving. Diesels are slow burners, but this feels like a petrol.
Very smooth power delivery, constant, strong, lively.
The torque is there almost from the get go and again, it seems to have plenty of ingear punch whenever called upon.
Struggle for traction in the dry if your heavy footed, but using the gogo pedal with moderation it's fine.
The fuel econ has also impoved, the run back to Lincoln, using it spiritedly out of roudabouts and cruising at 80-90 units i saw a healthy 54mpg. Time will tell once i work it out propperly, but for the power gotten, i'm happy.
As with every development car, it has acouple of hickups ...... but these are minor.... and aux related not map related. They need monitoing, then logging, then we can see if the fixes we have for them once loaded onto the car work.
To conclude :
Very happy with the car now, pull strongly and drives well.
The service recived by the guys down @ Revo was exellent and i'm sure it will continue to be so.
I'll need to get it dyno'd to compare....but drivability-wise it's transformed the car !

Sounds like it's one mean oil burner now, good to hear your pleased with it
Also thanks for keeping us posted NotNormal :happy2:

Glad you like it. Having spent some time at REVO HQ myself and knowing Kev I completely agree with you, they are very helpful.
What's next then?

Next, wheels and springs.
Ohh got some other body things going on too. Slightly different - but it some things subtle, somethings not so subtle :P  :happy2:
Once the teething prob's are ironed out, i'll be dynoing it for comparison.
Yeah, Kev is a great guy. dealt with him when i had Revo on my S4 (B6). the rest of them @ Revo HQ are good people too.
Been oput to the fireworks this evening, 3 people in my car, and my boot full of work stuff and it pulled like a train, didn't even feel loaded TBH - happy as. :drinking:
