cheers    rs reid,

Matsu :   PC plod has recently taken some extra interest in my car, but thankfully i have some experience in dealing with them and have been let off every time
(still have a clean liscence  :P :P)

also got a bit of hassle about my plate saying it was illeaglly spaced,
and i need to have the details of the company who i bought the car off on the plate,
but i don't want to advertise the dealer, so I'm not changing it until they put a prohibition on the car,

( i might get a day off work then   :signLOL: )

After getting the right pcd adapters..................... i found out i  needed a set of  "spigot rings".....................then i found out i had the wrong legnth bolts, :sad1:
so the garage orderd some new ones which were also the wrong length,.......................... :jumping:

So took it to R tech in st Albans and they have managed to fit the wheels but only by also fitting some spacers untill the correct bolts come in.  :drinking:

Any way. some quick phone pics of the new wheels and stance.  although i like the look of the rears so when the new bolts come in i might just take out the front ones.

(would this be possible or would it effect the handling?)

Will get some better pics up soon eventually ..

They sit very proudly! Something doesn't look quite right about them though fella, have you had any pro's look at it in the trade?

Coming from someone who's had a front left sheer off at 55mph due to an incorrect wheel/bolt/seating setup, I'd recommend you make sure you're 100% sure all the numbers add up. Handling is something you may need to rely on when you least expect it, so make sure it's solid and everything checks out  :happy2:

I'll be honest, I think I preferred the Shadow Monza's on yours. If you put some different rear lights on, it'd also help imho

As said above, those wheels do not look quite right, have you got the dimensions etc for them to hand? ( I too am part of the wheel falling off at speed due to carelessness//incorrect fitting, and it is a real ring clenching experience!)

Got some good/big plans ahead for the car, good to see that you have a list too, though would like to see if once all the above is ticked off you create a whole new list (as I have done!)

Would also recommend changing the plate, no one likes an illegal plate but the owner, and for the difference that one makes to the numbers/letters then you may as well just go legal and save a lot of potential hassle further down the line.

Other than that, keep up the good work.

X2  :happy2: Monza shadows looked a whole lot better. IMO very hard to get better looking wheels on the MK5 GTI
