Brought something new and want to share you views on it?
Bought

Brought is when you bring something from somewhere
Bought is when you have paid for something

The problem is that spellcheckers would not differentiate between brought and bought. Even a grammar checker wouldn't pick it up. You need something with intelligence (ie human) to be able to do the correction.

There's nothing stopping you from correcting everyone's replies but I doubt you'd be looked upon favorably.

Hahaha, this is actually my number one irritation! I've mentioned it a few times, when people have used it half a dozen times in the same short sentence, but really you're asking too much to expect that everyone will use perfect grammar, punctuation and spelling all the time. There are worse offences, text speak being one of them.

Sadly I think it's a poor reflection on schooling nowadays that so many people make basic errors with the English language

Microsoft Word does a similar thing, it can understand a sentence. Not suggesting that but I'm just saying a smart program exists. It should really be on the poster to correct their grammar and spelling.

it's not a members post it is a heading on the home page.
Too many people make this mistake for me to bother trying to correct them plus like you said I dnt think I would make many friends :-)
I thought I would mention it as it is the site which is wrong and not a member.
I dnt like moaning on forums because how I see it is if I dnt like what someone has said or done I just stop Reading and ignore it.

yeah it is something that always cheeses me off when reading posts. What gets me is it's mainly not a typo as it will be said more than once in the same post.
I wonder if these people say brought instead of bought when talking?

And what about when people are dyslexic.

We all do things in life that annoy others, Surely spelling mistakes can be over looked.
