Anyone know what's the deal with/history of this motor?
« on: November 03, 2010, 08:10:27 pm »
We've seen choppers go in five seconds at an asking price of 23k, another lad is asking 21 for his and VC is asking 27k for his.

This one has been on for ages and is looking like bargain of century. It's also one of the original 7.

Anyone know of this one's history?

Try and get the reg of it, MN08 or something like that, if so it had been "reclaimed" shall we say by a finance company. Has some dubious history to it as well.  :happy2:

Was based in Manchester area.. :driver:
Cheers,

I must say, i've never understood why people selling cars hide the reg. first thing i do is do a dvla enquiry. had a trade seller would not tell me the reg until i came miles to view it. i don't get it.

Because they don't want the reg cloning and some muppet driving round through speed cams and congestion charge areas and bilking etc etc etc, well that's the reason I won't do it, a friend on another forum posted his pic up with his car reg in it and he had nothing but trouble with the aforementioned incidents.

Ah..so that's why. I am very naive about this kind of stuff. Makes sense.

I wouldn't say "too good" as it doesn't have the full  leather or nav. Still, very cheap really and you gotta wonder what the hell is going on.

It does seem cheap, but it looks okay.  Being reclaimed by the finance company is not necessarily a problem - what is the "dubious history"?

Look at the head rests in the rear picture, those seats have had a teriible re-trim job done on them!  so it has clearly been tamperred with, so I would guess the price reflects the fact that it isnt standard, I would want it professionally inspected by a trained mechanic.  you can also see the reg and its on a private plate.

5Dr Black GTI, DSG, Leather, Xenons. Retrofitted - Cruise, RNS 510, MFSW, Armrest, Skoda BT, 6cd changer, Monza II's, VW speaker upgrade kit, Lux pack, High-line, new CAN gateway, Polar FIS info display, R32 tinted rear lights, RVC

To Come...NQSBBK, highline CCM.
