After a little mix up I had with buying a smooth grill which turned out not to be smooth  I decided to have it smoothed in the bodyshop instead of sending it back.

Had a little update from my bodyshop guy. It seems to be going well.

Was this a straight swap or did it need coding/ new controller thingy?
Are there any online guides to swapping them over for numpties like me  :rolleye:

I'm the biggest numpty you will ever meet and it took me about 20 mins.

No coding or abything needed. Just start by prising open the top vent and work your way through the layers and torx screws till everything pulls off.  :happy2:

I've read some posts where people have had to change a module due to battery drain - how do i know if i need to do this (mine is a 07 ED30)?

Mine is too dude. Apparently the rcd510 is okay but you may run into problems if you fit the RNS510 apparently.

Send Darren, 'mortygttdi' a message, he's extremely helpful.  :happy2:

Grille has come back from the body shop today & I am very proud of him!  :drinking:

It went in to be repaired and smoothed  :happy2:

Before

After

Rob said he'd be willing to do this for members with a few day turn around time. It'd cost you less than half of a smooth grill  :happy2: :happy2:

Let me know what you think

Re: Keano's Edition 30 - Coilovers on! :D
« Reply #238 on: November 24, 2011, 10:58:54 pm »
Had the coileys fitted today.

I normally fit coilovers and faff about for weeks, dropping it up and down. So today I decided to don my red, Rambo bandana and wind them all the way to the bottom and leave them. Then get my mechanic to fit them as I know nothing   (adjuster plate also out the back)

4 Wheel laser alignment at 4.30pm tomorrow.  :happy2:

I thought I'd be consistent with the rest of the thread. So I took a few sh*t blurry photos for you all.  :drinking:
