Just looked at the Detailing World group by. The G1 is cheaper, not by much but at least I know that stuff works well so will go for that I reckon. But thanks for pointing that out mate. Would have missed it if not  :happy2:

Read my previous post on how to reply it. It lasts a couple of weeks.

You'll need to be a member if that's what you mean? If you already are and the link still ain't working goto the group buys section and its the winter deal #1.

is it much better than rain-x?

I've always used rain x but I do find in anything less than monsoon conditions and at low speed it can be pretty rubbish and results in a smeary window.
That said, on a motorway, after a couple of applications, in heaving rain, its excellent

O.K then, so last weekend i got myself down to halfords and brought myself some RAIN-X.
Washed my ED30 and cleaned the windows with glass cleaner then came out the RAIN-X.I applied it with a with a polishing cloth and started on the rear quarter glass (gangsta styleee). As i rubbed the stuff on in small circles it made a squeking noise almost as if it was etching into the glass.Once the glass was covered it turned a matt colour leaving no reflection. At this point i got a bit worried thinking i had damaged my glass so i started to rub & rub & rub & rub & rub and then it started to polish and when i mean polish it left the darkened glass looking like a mirror.I did this to all the glass including the wing mirrors, all in all it took about three hours to apply and after id finished i was knackered.I put the car back in the garage and prayed for rain,i left for work monday morning and could not believe my luck,it was hammering down.
I drove to work as normal,it was 6.00am and dark and raining, normally the wipers would be going ten to the dozen back and forth but not on this drive to work.At 30mph the screan had rain on it but i could see through it no need for wipers. At 40mph the rain drops move up the screen as the wind blows it away.Anything over 50mph and there's no water on the screen it literally just blows of the screen.
During a half hour drive to work in the dark in driving rain i probably only used the wipers 4 or 5 times.
All in all a week later it seems to work and i think the secret to RAIN-X is all in the application................
A LOT OF RUBBING AND POLISHING.
See ya soon i'm of for a quick rub. :jumping:

Rain - X is excellent stuff, used it for years and it's never let me down.

Not too sure about applying it for a period of 3 hours to get the full effect, :signLOL: I've always used it after a proper glass polish has first cleaned the windows. It's taken me no longer to then apply the Rain - X, than it has the glass polish and never had the smear issues that have been raised?  :happy2:

The only problem I have found with RainX is the next time you clean your car it makes the windows a bit on the sticky side so your drying cloth/MF tends to leave fibre's all over the treated glass!

Apart from that I love the stuff!
