I have a friend who also has a Reflex Silver Golf. We is trying to find modifications that would work well with the front fended (not that yours would need modifying). He painted all the front bumper in between the fog lights black (he basically painted the 2 vertical pillars in between the fog lights). I really liked the outcome and maybe you like it too...

Cheers andy i had the ED30 gearknob on but i think i prefer the GTI one now
so the ED30 one will be up for sale tomorrow!!!
