I'd never be without mine. It's awesome. And ed. What can it do that a net book can't? Ermmm sh*t loads. Like not having to wait for the thing to boot up and go straight on line. It looks very colon the UI is brilliant. It integrates to everything perfectly. It's apple build quality not samsung. Anything else?

As an argument that could be potentially started from that could go on for a life time, im not going to argue.

btw my netbook boots and gets on the net just as quick as your ipad  SSD + linux FTW

I've got a 64gb 3G one, but it never leaves the house, I got 3G for Internet access when away from home however the reality is when I go on holiday it's mostly abroad and the data rates are scandalous so my advice, get one but wifi only.

Looking forward to iOS 4.x for folders etc also the next iPad may well have a mic and a camera so if they are important to you wait. ......

Just realised. I cancelled my sim subscription after a few months of having it.

No Ian you don't understand, I do need one.  My life is not complete.

Might have missed a trick actually, my mum is in the US this weekend, I have sent her a txt but she's not sure she'd have time to check prices etc.

I bought my wife the 32g wifi version earlier this year and she could not be without it now. We use it primarily in and around the house and have used it at the airport and on the wifi in the villa abroad. In reality, 99% of the time will be home use. We have 2 young kids so she can wander round the house with them whilst she does the Tesco online order  :rolleye:

She now uses it for internet, calendar, diary, notes, music (though the speaker is pretty tinny as you would expect), family photos and there are a load of games that the kids can play with without worrying about a 5 year old deleting the hard drive (like a laptop)

We would not be without one now and still amazed at the whole package and what it does. The only downside is that the wifi reception is not as good around the house on it as the PS3 and friends ipod's which is strange.

thats really strange, the ipad has a wireless N receiver. Have you got a wireless N router? that would be the best option to take advantage of the ipads pretty sound wifi receiver.

We have a wireless N router on the second floor in our house and i can get a strong signal on the ground floor in the lounge
