1. buy a new wheel (not even guaranteed to match the others either!) and keep the marked one as a spare
2. Get one refurbed and take a chance its close.
3. Get 2 refurbed as a set for one side of the car. Thereby any changes in colour/finish wont be seen, as on each side they will match.
4. Get all 4 refurbed , which means they will all match but seems a shame. Im not sure how many times the refurb process can be carried out either. But conversly as others have said you could go for a 'custom' paint style.

5. Leave it as it is and try a small repair with lacquer  :happy2: in the knowledge that at some point you will have to do 1-4 above

Yeah I think you are right John  :happy2:

Its gonna be one of those 4 options....... Hopefully number 1. TBH number 2 sounds a good idea too:notworthy:

Pics below,

Whoops, I meant to say....... Hopefully number 2. TBH number 3 sounds a good idea too  :ashamed: :ashamed: :ashamed:

gutted for you Carlo, must have been the faintest of touches. It isn't that bad to be fair, but once you know its there it bugs you doesn't it, does me anyway, the cheapest way would be to get 2 on the same side done to make sure they match, but that would bug me too, so save up over winter and have all 4 done :happy2:

I'm looking to get a full set of 18" Monza's refurbed. Thinking about getting the black gloss inserts. Has anyone used lepsons and were they happy with the results?

Yeah Gaz, It will bug me until its done right mate. TBH I was thinking about having a go with the Megs Scratch-X to see if any of the marks will polish out of the clear coat. I'm not optimistic though.

There is a company in Widnes called National Alloys. Anyone Heard of them? Some good prices, but if the work is shoddy  :fighting: :fighting: :fighting:

http://www.nationalalloys.co.uk/prices.htm

Also there is the WheelRefurbishing place (BJV Engineering) Any reviews of these guy's? Their prices are just crazy cheap, £160 for 4 wheels.

http://www.wheelrefurbishing.co.uk/OLDSITE/pricelist.htm

Then there is A1 Wheels.  Great reputation but how much am I looking for a full refurb on 4 wheels? I have a feeling, its gonna take me some time to save the cash needed for these guy's.

Any Idea's about A1 Nath? You know them well and the work they do. What do you think is my best cost effective option?  (now you have seen the photo's of the scuffs on my wheel)

1 wheel, 2 wheels, or all 4 wheels refurbed?

Thanks again to everyone for the advice.  :notworthy:

Once you have them off the car take at least two of them to Nigel @ A1 and ask if he can match them. This way he would have a spare for a reference so would know whether the repaired wheel matched 100%!  :happy2:

I have used National Alloys in widnes before. they used to be called Proclean then, and they did an awful job on a refurb for me some years back. And for that reason I wouldn't trust them with diamond turned wheels!

Cheers Lee  :happy2:

I will prob do as Nath suggested, as A1 have a great reputation. I will take 2 wheels down and if they can match the damaged one to the other one then its a bonus. If not I will get both done.

All the best Lee

...and send my regards to your dad.

So Nath, do you think its a full refurb on the wheel? I was thinking/hoping it would be just the rim that got polished/blended in???

Possibly but I'm not the expert, take it down to them and they'll let you know.  :happy2:
