I notice your GTI has a K06 turbo. The rest of us mortals haven't got beyond K04 yet

Looks like you've got Recaro's - Leather or cloth? (I'm not jealous........much!)

:happy2:

That K06 Turbo is bloody Huge Robin

Here's my seats, its the only pic I have. Great to think I didn't even realise it had them until I went to buy the car.
I put a deposit of £200 down on the car within 2 hours of it apearing on Autotrader. I then had to buy a car to get down to Surrey as I'd sold the Alfa. I had the Mk3 that you see here in my sig for precisely 23 hours before trading it in.  :surprised:

Baastud! For posting that cloth Recaro pic! I think I just 'touched cloth'.

I missed the chance to buy some secondhand and was put off by the cost of the fixing rails etc.

I assume that no airbags doesn't worry you in spite of your tragic accident. I can see the logic that if something is going to happen it'll do so regardless.

:happy2: 8) :happy2:

The whole "Recaro" thing has been a series of surprises. The car was advertised with the usual interior "dashboard" picture where you could just see the edges of the seat fronts so I had no idea until I viewed the car that it had em.
I'd been looking for weeks for a good Candy White 3 door and  was so taken with the condition of the GTi that I didn't even give the lack of bags a thought until about 2 weeks into ownership. I guess the prospect of an unprotected side impact has crossed my mind but like you say, if its gonna happen, it'll happen. I could probably be persuaded to swap for an ED30 set if anyone is interested

With regard to Santa Pod? Gotta be honest, Iv'e been out of the loop so long with the GTi community that I knew nothing about it until I read about it here yesterday. Worst thing is, I have arrangements to see my parents for the day tomorrow and they live about 9 miles from the Pod  :rolleye: Its an all day anniversary affair so no chance of escape  Have a good day and don't get too wet  :P.......  Oh and Robin...... STAY AWAY FROM THE MODDING STANDS !  :jumping: Like thats gonna happen :rolleye:

^ Poetry In Motion! ^

....Well, it is a Candy White image if your eyes can focus on the car. And anyway, I know that big boss TC is wow'd by this pic.

I suppose I better go and look at the thread rules now.........

....I know we are a bit off topic but that pic absolutely captures what we love about femininity. Although it's a still photo you just know how she's moving - I could write an essay! But I better get on with my half finished Review on brain remapping. Trouble is that my brain got distracted by this pic.

See ya tomoro - Safe Journey :happy2:
