Hello all

Name is Paul. Living in Dublin, Ireland.  Only came across the site yesterday when I was looking for an edition 30 rear bumper, still am by the way Looks like a fantastic site lads and some sweet mkv's on show.  Wasn't going to put my car up, thought it was strictly gti, but I see a few oil burners on show

Haven't done an awful lot mod wise.  So far:

Remapped to 170bph ish, colour coded front and rear bumpers, gti front valance-painted gloss black, R-Line fog grills, Ipod connection, cruise control-retro fitted, ITG panel filter, german plates

Hope to get an edition 30 rear bumper and side skirts fitted in the next few weeks,Votex spoiler should arrive from the U.S. tomorrow, milltek cat back soon and a down pipe eventually, H&R cup kit.

Thanks for the welcome lads.  Bought an edition 30 bumper today and my votex spoiler arrived from the states.  Just need to get a set of side skirts, get them painted and Bobs yer auntie.

Really are some serious cars on this forum, will be sifting through the build threads for months.

The flaps will be on for about another week max.  Have an edition 30 bumper, votex roof spoiler and gti side skirts to be sprayed and fitted hopefully by next week.

Then  i hope to fit a milltek cat back, stuck on whether to go for the standard 76mm tails or the 80mm edition 30 exhaust tails.  Think i'm swaying towards the ed 30 tails

Thanks for the welcome lads.  ya I love the Gt grill, I think it looks well with the silver.  Suppose Im partial to reflex silver, my mkiv golf was silver as well.

Is the votex splitter from E bay US, or is it a genuine one? Let us know what its like when it gets to you, as they work out at about £160 off the ebay page, but they are not genuine so was unsure about the quality.

I bought it from ECS tuning who are based in the US.  It's a proper vw/votex one with the official sticker, stamp and part number.  The spoiler was actually very cheap 39usd, shipping was about 82usd.  Including import duty and delivery everything came to about 125 euro, which is about £105 sterling.  I was quoted 250 euro from a dealer in Ireland.  Don't know if ye have to pay duty in the uk, if not then it'll be cheaper again.  All the parts are at the sprayers so hopefully get the lot fitted next week with pics to follow

Here is the link.  Shipped to me in 6 days with online tracking.  I see they are selling Votex side skirt very cheap as well 60usd, reduced from 400usd.
