Advice needed on turbo replacment

Hello all.
Would you replace the turbo on a high milleage car or wait for it to go
pop. And what are the labour costs. Just asking because there's one for sale in the sales section. My cars done 147k.

Standard gti. Never been remapped. So if the turbo does go will
it affect any other parts of the engine and cost more to fix .

Turbos with higher miles arent any more likely to go 'pop' than a lower milage turbo. The tell tale signs are usually when they start to whine (worn bearings)
