Need opinions on grill!

Having looked at Very Cherry's thread on his R32 and seen some nice front ends iv decided I want to get the grill painted on the car! Not a very expensive Mod and could change the look of the car alot! Hope you dont mind VC, i nicked some pics of your thread!

On nights?? lol, dont work buddy im a student who suffers from a very bad sleeping pattern!  :indifferent:

Gonna go around today looking for some one who could paint the grill for me, ifnot i might have a go at doing it myself. Anything special i might need to do to the grill before I spray over it?

This is an emotionally loaded request for opinions.  I'm not keen on either - it's a very personal preference thing though.  Are there more options?

More options such as?? Can look at any suggestions! Iv considered the carbon fibre one but its abit expensive at the moment as still have half a term to go through at uni! At the moment those two are my options and im seriously considering the first one! Got told a garage would do it for £80....what do you guys think?  :smiley:

You need to read davefish's efforts on self spraying mate, if you dont sand and get the right surface the 1st stone chip will wreck your work. get some black electrical tape and cove your grill then stand back and look at it before you commit, if you like it then you can take the plunge

i still havent decided what i want to do to the front of mine  :chicken: deffo needs something though

With red.....go black!

I vote for option 1 with a twist. See what painting the lower horizontal bar on the top grill in red would look like :happy2:

Manu don't get it painted. Have someone wrap it in matte black vinyl. Two reasons, it will be cheaper than painting and it can be changed back to standard relatively easily.  :happy2:

It won't chip as easy as paint either  :wink:
