I think you will have success with the wings and sills but not the trim. I have tried along with at least one other to get these done under warranty but were told these are not part of the body and so would not be covered. It's always worth a try though and it's always good to let us know how you get on with all of the items as it help the rest of us in future  :happy2:

Just out of interest, anyone had problems with a rear arch? and had it replaced on VW?

Just found Rust on the Arches so off to VW Gorgie in Edinburgh tomorrow to see what they say!

Could someone PM me about getting the PDF?

It was on your reccomendation mate :happy2: The woman on the phone seemed nice, as soon as I mentioned it she was said "Well we'll get you booked in ASAP to get it looked at" so must know of the problem! One of my friends has the same on his so told him to get booked up there too!

I have a 2005 Mk5 GTI. Also having the rust problems under the front wings (above the tyres) - Found after getting my front tyres replaced.
I went to see the local dealer today and they told me it wasn't covered under the 12 year warranty as it is specifically excluded under "trim something"
I took their word for it, got home and checked my manual which states nothing of the sort!

I think I'll give them a call tomorrow with the facts I have - What seems to work for everyone else?

Also, if someone could send me the PDF to read, that'd be great!
