I had mine at at VW Lookers Battersea last Wednesday. Service bloke took pictures, I have very small bubbling on 1 wheel arch, and he called me yesterday to confirm VW UK have agreed to pay 100%. Its likely they will replace the bubbling wheel arch and repair the root cause on the other.

He has passed my details to the bodyshop who should call me to arrange a time to drop the car in. Saying that he just called back today as the body shop have asked the mileage on the car, which seems a bit strange. Not sure why the mileage would matter.

I'll wait and see what happens.

He called back because HE was suppose to ask you the mileage on the first call but forgot, instead of just saying sorry i forgot to ask he blamed someone else

The mileage shouldn't make any difference - VW agreed to my wings repair at over 100k miles (and over 7 years old).

I'm still waiting to here about my sills to be sorted, I was told vw would pay 75% towards it happy with that.

I noticed rear arch rust pretty much 1/2 of the inside arch. Whats vw stance on rear arch as most of this thread is about the fronts?

£336 to replace one arch and that's apparently 50/50.

Currently putting together a complaint.

I been told its going to cost me £295 with the 50/50 good will from vw uk to replace my 1 wing the guy never took pictures or anything not really happy with the outcome , rand him back today and had a major chip on is shoulder

Ive also got some bubbling/ rust starting on my rear passenger rear arch, has anyone had the same problem and had it sorted?

I've got rust coming through on mine arond the high level brake light ?? Is it best to just go into local vw dealers and see yhe warranty guy first then ??

Mine went in on Monday
Should be back with me Friday
At first they said 50/50 but in the end Vw uk said 100% happy days
Costing £700 for both front wings!ouch

I'd be interested in knowing the various quotes ppl have received from the dealers for repairing just the one wing. Im waiting to get a quote from mine for the predictable 50/50 scenario for my rusty wings. Hoping it is below £300 fingers crossed

totally agree with this when I confronted my dealer about this he just said that's not possible and that its all false if people are saying they getting 100% of the cost cover

Ahh I agree they shouldnt discriminate, however everyones experience/result seems to be subjective to particular details and are varied (Thats assuming from reading thru this thread that all ppl are saying is true). I would love to hold out for 100% but one wing has been previously touched up and VW is making out they are doing me a favour by doing the other for free....looks like they got me over a barrel at moment.... not cool.
