New wings and sills under warranty! only took a couple of weeks and the cars in!

Her replacement for the week:

+He also mentioned the recoil on the coils so they're doing that aswell whilst its in

How do you go about kicking off the process is it just a case of going to the dealer or do you phone and ask for an appointment regarding it, do you deal with sales,service or bodyshop? sorry for the questions

You need to call a dealer who has a bodyshop on site.

I phoned the dealer and asked about a warranty inspection, she passed me through to the warranty claims manager who told me he was aware of the issues and would be more than happy to have a look, I arranged to go there the next day as he wasn't too busy. Upon arrival I explained to him where I had noticed corrosion (Mine was under the front two wings ontop of the sills) he agreed that it was obviously rusting, I also had some bubbling ontop of my wing which I mentioned and he checked with the depth gauge. Apparently anything under 100 is factory paint work mine read 180 at points so was clearly repaired, he told me they couldn't cover it but as the sills were under cover he'd change the wings as a good will gesture

Just got my car back from vw inchcape Shrewsbury and they had to sort out lacquer run first ! I had to pay 25% as they said I had no dealer loyalty lol ..also said if they had to change wings they no longer do them for free as they had too many through there !! Lol

Hi all,

Been a lurker on these pages for about 6 months now, bought a 05 plate GTI with full service history with VW.

I have very serious rust on one of my arches and tail gate, with the other wing having minor but still obvious corrosion.

I would very much appreciate any advice on how to persuade VW to offer more than the 50% they have already offered, the 50% still leaves me with a bill of over £1500!

If someone could please email through the PDF document to me it would be much appreciated!
