car was in for coil pack recall, had them chechk my rust and they agreed full coverage no questions asked no arguments. got a new wing and both door sills repaired

Gonna get the coil packs done while I'm there too...they'll be sick of the sight of me

I found the pdf online just by googling 'vw golf internal rust PDF' or something like that

Am i right in thinking on GTI's front wing's / coil packs are done.. is their anything else to check before i go to VW that could possible be under recall / warranty

You're lucky! How long ago was that and what part of the country are you in? I've guessing before June 2013?

last month mate october. was at arnold clark vw in rutherglen glasgow

Really lucky, did you have a lot of dealings with them before you went in for it (were you a frequent customer)?

nope none at all only had the car about 2 months and thought id try my luck, no mention of service history or anything like that either.

As said, very lucky, I imagine Arnold Clark have taken that on the chin themselves, VW Exec will not have authorised 100% reimbursement.

Probably in the hope you become one of their regulars I bet... so probably wouldn't be worth those of us who don't live up that neck of the woods going to them

Just found some rust on the highest point of my NSF wheel arch, has anyone recently had this rectified on the 12yr warranty? Read this old thread and thought its possible especially as my local VW dealer is an Arnold Clark...?

im just in process of having mine done at vw stoke ive been offered 75% vw pay and 25% me but I am taking case further as long as yours is original you should be fine.
