RNS 510 V7 maps out yet?

They were purchased.

Some 'key' people have been provided with them and I'm sure they will start to appear in good time

As long as you have a K revision or higher Can Gateway you will be fine.

If not you can get modified firmware which stops the battery drain but not sure how this will work with maps or if it works at all. Those that have tried it apparently it works for them. But I haven't tested it myself.

It's a 2005. Looks like I'll be sticking with what I've got. Too much cost and effort just for full postcode searches. Cheers for the help guys

Sorry Andrew I don't have the part number.  I think the maps are normally around the £120 - £140 mark.

Guys, I noticed that one of the chaps on here that was running 1100 firmware said that V7 maps on his unit still didn't give him 7 digit postcode lookup.

I'm actually running Firmware Version 1300, which gives me access to SDHC cards, Speed Display on the map screen, and various other small improvements. Does anyone know if V7 maps will fully work with 7 digits on 1300 firmware ?

Yes it will as 130X firmware (don't be confused by no.s) is higher than 276X.

It just doesn't have voice control (if you have compatible bluetooth)

No I don't need Voice control as I only have a parrot for my bluetooth, but It does the job for me.

could you please send me a V7 disc with the firmware update? You fitted my LED version in my grey mkV R32 about a year ago at the same time as doing am1w's in his red Mk6

there arent any battery drain problems on '58' R32's are there?

can you let me know how much a rear view camera, VW bluetooth & MDI would be? (and if you can use the bluetooth for calls, while playing music through the MDI on an iphone and charging it???)
