I want ferrari to stay ferrari. If I want a german supercar there are plenty to choose from already, and most of them are already VAG owned aswell.

i dont think ferrari would allow it tbh.  Its an iconic italian brand.  the whole of Italy would be against that, plus they are very patriotic and traditional.

Well Lamborghini was/is an iconic Italian brand?

So is Ducati and it didn't stop them selling it to American Venture Capitilists in the 80's and 90's.

I would prefer VW to buy Ferrari than a bank!

It will all depend how much FIAT is in the sh*t.

I don't think they would ruin it and I'm sure they would ensure the 'Italian connection' remained as it's not only good PR but it sells! Who would have thought ten years back that they would do what they did with Bugatti? Whether they have made it more Germanic or not you cannot deny they have done wonders for the Bugatti brand.

Saying all this I can't see it ever happening anyway!
