Having MW2 as my first FPS on the PS3, I had only that to compare BO to. Sometimes it feels like I'm playing Counter-Strike.

Things I love:

 - the new maps, the fact that they're bigger.
 - gameplay is a bit more tactical than run'n'gun
 - no huge amounts of killsteaks after killstreaks
 - things like playercard, customisability, contracts etc

Things I hate:

 - I swear the graphics don't feel as sharp (apparently same engine as MW2 though)
 - it takes a huge number of bullets to kill someone. No one trigger kills with the M16 unless it's a headshot
 - no commando-type feature. It's a pain to respawn multiple times only to be killed by a chopper
 - that silly little RC vehicle. Is there a way to counter it?
 - multiplayer is buggered up. Seriously. Lots of getting kicked out of lobbies/parties/games; not being able to play with friends; shed loads of lag, even when connection speeds are excellent. Issues with headsets.

There are quite a few bugs that need ironing out IMO. It has the potential to be a great game but too many factors ruin it. I'll keep playing but won't be as interested as MW2. If, over the next month, things haven't improved, I'll head back to MW2 as well.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.
