New Member - Possible R32 / ED 30 Purchase Coming
« on: November 13, 2010, 10:19:26 pm »
Just to say hi, looking to change my BMW 330d sport tourer for a mk5 and am thinking R32 or ED30. Been to see an Ed30 today and really liked it, interior was special, loved the leather and tartan.

I am sure there are a million comparison threads but the draw of the R32 is the noise and the 4wd and getting one with RS4 Recaros  :happy2:

And for the ED30 it's the 300bhp remap, the overall look and the interior.

I would want the MFSW steering wheel and the cruise, so was wondering if these can be retro fitted as I believe they are not standard. Also are there any other options that can be retro  fitted ?

So hope to find all the answers here.......

Welcome along!

Yes they can be retro fitted no problem. You can pretty much retro fit anything to a mk5!  :happy2:

Welcome!  :drinking:

If you don't mind the mid range being a bit flat and the extra running costs then go for the .:R. If you want out and out pace and reasonable running costs then go for the Eddy. Both are fabulous cars so all said and done it's a very personal choice. I've had both and given the choice I'd have.................

BOTH!!  :signLOL:

Hi and welcome.

Anything can be retrofitted - the only restrictions are time and cost! :signLOL:

MFSW is easier if the car has DSG. Cruise control is relatively easy.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.
