Ice inside windscreen
« on: November 15, 2010, 09:28:17 am »
This morning my car was frozen solid, nothing unusual about this until I realised there was a layer of ice on the inside of the windscreen! The other windows were clear on the inside. I've never had this before with other cars. Anyone else experiencing this or know of a fix? I'm wondering if this possible leak has anything to do with it but no water gets any further than is shown in the pic, and it may just be condensation.

when it freezes inside usually means the damp is letting in water some where and the air inside the car is damp..

Can also happen if you turn the a/c off just before the end of your journey...........

I read somewhere before the aircon did it but I've had it on the econ mode the last few weeks. The other thing I read about was the pollen filter. Due a service soon though so that can wait.

Mine is the same when it's really cold, was like it first thing today after my night shift. I put it down to having the heater on & then parking up & then condensation forms in the cold.
I've no leaks everything inside is bone dry & ''yes'' new pollen filter in the summer & it still does it & ''yes'' even with the demister set to it's fastest it still takes f***ing ages to clear  .

It's annoying as I start work at 5am, looks like I need to get up 10 mins earlier  :surprised:
