Also I've heard the special edition comes with 11 extra cars. Don't know what these are though!

When is that due for release, 2020?
Only 250.1bhp - but with that noise, who cares?

Mile-muncher ordered: MkVI 1.6 TDi BlueMotion Match DSG with leather, winter pack, luxury pack, fogs, climate control, Dynaudio pack, RCD510 with DAB & MDI, flat tyre indicator

I'm just disappointed at the apparent lack of progress given how long its taken for them to get it right.

Well lets play it for ourselves first and judge it then. I'm pretty sure it will still be head and shoulders above any Racing game so far regardless of it's perceived 'faults'  :happy2:

I for one can't fookin wait!!

Exactly! I think maybe we should play it before criticising it! I'm sure that they will make download packs available with extra cars.

I also think it's great that the topgear test track is on! Should be fun if I decide to buy a ps3!

Fair enough, but physics etc. aside, I still expected a better complement of cars and not a million variants of Skylines old and new... yawn.

Forza's content is always way above GT series imo.I had the Ps3 and sold it, and went back to Xbox360. I hope GT5 is finally something to shout about, its just a shame that the consol only has a couple of good titled games with decent online gameplay.

Its not worth buying a consol just for this game.

Wait for it to hit the shelves and get tested by others before splashing the cash.

Do you have to pay an online subscription charge like xbox live?

I plan on waiting until it comes out in stores and I can have a go on some machines before I buy GT5. I'd advise anyone who wants a PS3 purely for GT5 to do this. I bought the PS3 on a whim (would have gone for the Xbox but reports of RROD were out at the time which put me off).

Blu-ray does look immense on the right set up. The PS3 was the cheapest blu-ray player at the time too.

There are unverified reports that there will be DLC later. GT6 will also have the same game engine, so won't be as much of a leap as GT5 should be.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

Is it definitely going to be 3D as well?

XBox 360 gave up the will to live today  :sad1:  so GT5 would help me "Console" myself - sorry couldn't resist the pun :ashamed:
