Which intake are you running??

I'm toying with the idea of buying something though not sure what to get!  Does the twin take fit with the standard engine cover?  Carbonio looks the best by far!

If you want oem look you want the Carbonio. The rest will require you to modify the engine cover beyond repair to fit with them on the car.
I have had the Carbonio on my car for 40.000 km and can't fault it, i just had a modding itch that needed scratching so i went for the twintake.
i growls from 2k to 3,5 k rpm, and with an aggresive right foot you get wastegate judder and DV blowing, so a bit more personality with the twintake than the carbonio. IMO

True i know what you mean, also the twin take is a bit more expensive.  I think if i dont go Carbonio i may go ITG.  Does the Carbonio sound/notice much different from stock?  As i may get a remap at same time.

Nothing whatsoever Rhys, if you're looking for sound/performance gains I wouldn't even think about the Carbonio twice! I made this mistake too.

All it does (and even this isn't proven) is perhaps increase MPG by about 1/1.5MPG as it allows the engine to breathe slightly better. That's the only small change I've noticed. It's just to look good under the bonnet really

first mod i ever did was the carbonio.  may as well have smoked the pound notes, as it made sweet FA difference.

@RDFCpete id bet those difference were a result of the panel filter.  and not the carbonio scoop.

I started off with the Carbonio before the Twintake and I agree with everything said. No regrets, but the Carbonio only improves efficiency and is cool eye-candy.

Dont wish to hijack thread, but going to ask 1 question whats best first air filter or Exhaust system?  As i got money for remap, just dont know wether to spend £350 on filter or wait and find nice second had miltek for a couple 100 more?  just cant afford to do both.

....I think I'd be inclined to do the exhaust first, then remap, and air intake later - That's what I did. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong but I think a high-flow exhaust will probably indirectly help any intake's breathing rather than vica versa, but I might be talking rubbish.

im with robin on this one.  however if your after gains it needs to be the downpipe+sports cat and not the cat back exhaust section.  the only thing with the exhaust is you will need an extra £50 to go straight onto the stage 2 map.

i really wouldnt bother with the cat back at all until you have finished everything else on the car. its more of a garnishing modification.

As above, the exhaust requires a different map ideally, whereas the intake can be added at any time with no map tweaking required as the ECU can adjust enough to compensate for it

....Agreed but I would add that if an aftermarket intake is adding significant power and you are running a stock fuel pump and don't want to spend on replacing it, you may want to consider a map such as Revo which allows you to turn down a B/T/F setting to compensate.

not really.  none of the maps seem to suffer with fuel cut any more, with the exception of revo when the settings are yanked up.  I never had any isue on shark stage 2 or bluefin stage 2 with an ITG added after
