My display has gone off twice in the 9 months iv owned it but it comes back on usually... id say the cluster has or is packing up as if the rev counter is working and other lights on the dash are then it wont be a fuse....

its probably a fuse if everything is gone.  be aware though, i think it might be illegal to drive a car with non operating speedo.  you might have to use a sat nav for the time being to stay legal

If you have vcds you could do an output test on the cluster to see if its goosed...

Can't help re the speedo, but theres a trick with the dual climate controls where the right hand display will show your speed. Might get you out of trouble till you get it sorted.

Think you hold 'econ' and the 're-circulated air arrow' buttons together, turn the left control clockwise until the left hand display shows 19-0, turn the centre control clockwise once until the display shows 19-1, now the right hand display will show a corrected mph speed. To come out of this function just press the 'econ' button again.

I'm sure if thats not spot on someone will correct me!
