50" samsung tv

 we have the above tv but some times if you are watching a film it  shows a lot of pixels in it..is thier any way to cure this

mine does this someties. i put it down to the quality of fim being viewed.  because when i watch blueray the quality is immense

Mine sammy does it too, notice it more on the black parts of the screen though and more on sd.

Although on my Pioneer it never does it no matter what you watch sd or hd/blueray.

Maybe age. Its fairly common in plasmas, more so larger ones. Does it do it for all input sources as it could be a bitrate issue?

Without seeing it i can only guess mate but i would think its a flaw in the source that your tv shows up. Bigger TV's (and mostly Plasmas) are prone to this, you have both so im betting its this. If possible run a DVD on the tv on one source then use another to see if the pixels show up at the same scene. Or even better would be to record a bluray you have which is showing on skyHD and comparing them at the same point. Not easy but will confirm my theory  :happy2:

It might even be the DVD mate, if you can get hold of another you have and try it. I will warn you though its not something you will have much control over. Play around with settings (brightness, gamma etc) to see if it masks some of the flaws.
