There is always going to be something we would prefer but I have to agree, the twin oval 'RS' style exhausts would have looked much better and made it stand out from the crowd.

Friend Hurdy, just to tease me, configured a RS3 knowing me well and what I like [that sounds wrong and has nothing to do with us being room-mates on more than one occasion] and of course included those mouth-watering seats - It added up to £52k! The problem is that I've grown very used to that style of Recaro but £5k is taking the piss unless you're loaded with dosh. I guess that Audi realise that there are plenty folks out there, and especially Germans, who are loaded - It's their most profitable market.

Spiders!!!  :scared: That's a big dent to the wallet Robin if you were to upgrade.. Could you warrant £40k+ extra over your beloved GTI to change?

...."Warrant" or justification isn't really a major factor. It's really whether I want it and then, of course, if the funds are available or not. You only live once (AFAIK!). The first step will be a test drive. Plenty of time ahead to decide if desirable and if do-able. I might desire but not be able financially without risking my future, or I might be disappointed by the car (probably doubtful) - Who knows.

I always follow my heart (or at least try to!). At this stage I'm in lust  :happy2:

The more I see of this car the more I likey.

^ But two things that surprise me from that vid:

- Engine movement.

- Standard exhaust sound from the outside not so impressive - Better from inside the car.

I wonder what tyres it's on in the vid.

I expect the sound may be down partly to the video quality and also maybe muted by European drive by noise regulations which govern such things.

The tyres are mighty impressive and deffo not summer tyres!!

Nice vid Robin, good find.

You're not helping me resist wanting one, Andy!

A Milltek would sort out the sound. They've done one for the TTRS.

Amazing how little steering input they have put in to correct the oversteer, all about the throttle!  :notworthy:

Still looks like a 'lifestyle' estate car to me!
