^^^^
Apparently deposits are being taken but no delivery dates given until March. Insiders are saying that July is the very earliest any will arrive in the UK.

[^ As I said earlier just a couple of posts back]

sorry not read full thread. mmm i wonder if a 3 or 4 yr old one will be availble for around 22-24k

id say 28-30k going by the fact that 3-4 year old s3s are still selling for upwards 20k for a decent one

.
Did you notice, Poverty, that Evo described the RS3 as a TTRS with a different body?

Not really indepth review, but im sure in a straight line and day to day they will be very similiar. Other than that the chassis is quite different

id bet the chassis is neigh on identical.

Something like 55% different iirc

The TT including the TT-RS has an aluminium and steel chassis. The RS3 if it follows the S3 will have an all steel chassis. With the RS3 weight at 1575kg, my money would be on Audi keeping the S3 chassis.

TT Chassis is also stiffer, has a wider track, weighs 1450kg in RS form and tend to run greater camber

Ego magazine rate it as a everyday car and not as a fantasy car like some exotica which all end up as garage queens

The chassis is a really good one, we have 3 guys over on VAGOC who competively race their TTs and my god you wouldnt believe how well they are doing, and some of the exotica these humble TTs are beating. All it needs is some arbs to dial out the understeer.

Quote from one of the racers

We raced 4 weeks ago and finished 5th outright amongst 220 cars (beat ALL GT3 Porsches.) got beaten by 2 Lamborghini Superleggari, 1 GT2 997, and one Subaru STi (factory backed).

Not bad for a car with a stage 1 map, h&r rear arb, coilovers, and rs4 front calipers.  :happy2:

This is what I've heard, but I do think it's a shame, for an RS car, that it needs it.
