at a reasonable cost point the 2 main choices are
1) R32 setup : OE VW calipers + OE discs , still 2 pot but work well , downside is they are very heavy (can be offset by fitting different lower arms etc ).
2) The 'not so big brake kit' from DaveB1970 on here (there a thread somewhere...) , porsche calipers (4 pot) with OE smaller VW discs. less heat capacity than R32 setup but many forum members on here have found they work just as well. They are also light.
I bought R32 setup from Dave a while back (with cross drilled OE discs) and its fab
However, if I was doing it again I would probably go the NSBBKit route just to reduce the unsprung weight as I feel thats a better dynamic setup all round
both are good, balance OE parts vs costs and availability. Both improve the OE Edition 30 brakes immensely, so you cant go wrong.
