Perfect replacement mate  :happy2:

Looks stunning.

Thanks! Yeah it seemed the obvious next step from the ed30, happy so far!

Lovely Beddie :happy2:

Now let modding commence!

Cheers John! Modding will commence shortly albeit nowhere near Hurdy level!

very very nice!!!  :notworthy: the car looks awesome mate!!! great spec, i love the carbon grey colour, almost grown up version to the edition 30!!!!

Thanks mate! Yeah you can tell it has mk5/ed30 dna at heart but seems a little more polished in all areas  :happy2:

Did you keep all the mods from your ED30?

Everything should bolt straight on with it having the same engine  :happy2:

Yeah kept the arbs, brakes, carbonio and bluefin so will be recycling them onto the new one, just need to sort out an exhaust and some springs  :driver:

stunning motor mate, and best colour by far
Cheers mate, very kind of you to say so! I did originally want another red one but fell for the colour of this one and really glad i changed my mind!

Was looking at one of these but they are still holding their value 12 months old circa 26000

There's plenty around sub 23K tbh mate, i missed out on 2 late reg '61's that were up for £21.5K before i got this one, mine is a July 2012 with 7K miles and was £22K from a main dealer

Lovely car mate!

Cheers!  :drinking:

Keep it standard for Inters i may stand a chance this year  :signLOL:

I'll try! Although i'm hoping for the remap to be sorted at the very least for round 2 of our duel

Very noice.  :notworthy:

Cheers chap!  :happy2:

Looks good Steve.  :happy2:

Cheers Ian! Sadly i had to resist the lure of the new Octy Vrs as they wouldnt hurry up and release the thing in time!

looks excellent Steve  :happy2:

Cheers Andy! Should see it at Harewood mate  :happy2:

That looks stunning , I had one last year as a loan car for a week and didnt want to give it back , the interior is a step up from the Mk5 , I love the Mk6 wheel....

Thanks! I'm really happy with the differences between the mk5 and 6 and it does feel like a really nice upgrade especially the interior

Beautiful! I'm amazed to hear it was hard to find one on the 18's - much prefer this design of wheel - far superior IMHO!
Look forward to see how you get on with this one - still newish to my ED30, and yours was a great example.

Cheers! Yeah a lot of ed35s seem to get the optional 19s which i dont really like either from a looks perspective or the replacement tyre cost lol! Also wanted to keep the bespoke wheels for the ed35 as the glendales can be spec'd on a regular gti,
Subtle mods for this one rather like my ed30 really, brakes, arbs, bushes, suspension and no further than stage 1

I'm sure I saw your ed30 at psi taking off bits and returning it to standard?

If it was yours, which I'm certain it was cause the spec was almost identical, then thanks for the miltek :happy2:

Beddie's ED35 -mini mods :)
« Reply #116 on: August 06, 2013, 11:26:33 pm »
Well 2 months and 4K miles of ed35 ownership later..... i'm glad to say i love the thing!

Finally got round to a couple of mini mods too

Chair for the boy so he can learn how to miss an apex early like dad lol!

Swapped the Bluefin stage 1 from the ed30 over  :driver:

Some interior bling

Finally had the transfer come through on my private plate, fitted some 15mm rear spacers and a few VCDS tweaks (digital mph display / XDS set to strong / dial staging)

Gloss black rear diffuser

And a day out at VWNW with the uk-mkivs lot  :happy2:

Looking good mate.

How does the map compare to the ed30? Feel similar?

Feels a little different for some reason tbh mate, seems stronger and more urgent low down but with the same top end compared to the '30
