To the guys who ordered from dubstopimports- how long did they take to come and also did the delivery driver require a signature as I don't know what courier they're using! Thanks!

+1. I don't recall having to pick it up from the depot. It fitted through the letterbox.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

Where are the four screws to rake the grill off? The badge won't budge so I'll have to take the grill off.

I just sprayed mine with a few coats of plasti dip. It gives it a nice Matt black finish and if you change your mind just peel the rubber coating off. Simples :)

two at the lower part of the grill ( under the number plate ) and the other two under the bonnet to the inside of the headlights, then just undo the clips next to the top 2 screws and lift the grill off
Still Here!

Cheers for your replies guys. In the end I just undid the torx screws and pulled the grill out a little so I could get my hand down the back. A little unorthodox but I managed it pleased with the result! Looks great.

Yeah I'll put some up when it's light again. Thing is now I want a shiny new grill beacause the badge is a little bit darker than the grill at the mo as I'm guessing it's faded little. Any ideas for brightening it up a tad?

May be wrong but I'm sure I read somewhere WD40 was good for this

WD40 can blacken plastics - I used to use it a lot. However, it apparently can weaken plastics (apparently) though not sure how it does so.

WD40 will blacken and shine, as will silicone based sprays like motul shine and go,
other things you can use: -
-dashboard cleaner
-Back to black

and im sure tyre dressing would also bring it up like new aswell.
