Best place for a new battery
« on: November 23, 2010, 03:30:17 pm »
I've not been using the car much lately and had a flat battery this morning, so give the car a good 1 hr and a half run and immediately after it is still reluctant to turn over so need to get the alternator checked out but assuming its the battery where is the best place (cheapest) to get a new one. Also is there any that can be considered an upgrade. Don't think i want a braile battery but is there anything with more current etc?

Give GSF a go as they are normally pretty competitive

I think the stealers are actually pretty competitive for batterys.  Or costco if you have a card.

Halfrauds batterys are good quality with a long warranty. just get yourself a trade card and they are cheap as well.

Go in with some sort of proof that you work in the motor trade ( most dont even ask) and they give you one. I used one of my own business cards and they accepted it.

Most of my mates knocked up a letterhead in microsoft office and used that, not that i condone this type of behaviour :innocent:

I'd put it in the same place as the old one.

How do they do that when they claim delivery is free?

Just checked some of the sites mentioned here...what's the 'cold cranking' specification on the batteries refer to?
