Woke up around 10am and looked out of my bedroom window...  All snow gone! Rained away  :pomppomp:. I only hope it doesn't freeze tonight.

Its starting to melt alittle bit today.  :congrats: This ment the 2" thick ice under the 24 inch+ of snow is no longer welded to the tarmac. So i spent 5 hours clearing the drive and paths. Its nice to see tarmac at last. :smiley:

ours is starting to melt and hopefully wont come back, but its entered a new stage of danger because its sliding off roofs like an avalanche and freezing into sheet ice at night  :fighting:

The soft snow already disappeared two days ago. The hard frozen slush has now been melted by the rain. Very few remnants left behind.

I didn't drive anywhere for work last week due to the snow. I thought I'd be alright today, but the -7.5 degree temperature this morning still got me......

About 7:20am this morning, I was on the M62, at the summit (highest motorway in the UK) when my car decided it didn't want any coolant so wee'd it all out  :sad1:

It was -5.5 when I stopped and let me tell you, it was damn cold sitting for 2 hours at that temperature with no heating, waiting for a recovery truck, my toes were numb!
