Eddy goes on a diet (few updates)
« on: November 24, 2010, 08:34:34 pm »
Edition 30, DSG, #418, bought new in March 2007

Carefully run-in, strictly to the manufacturer’s specifications

Within a year a trip to AMD Essex for:  AMD re-map, Full Milltek, Quaife LSD, Brembo GT BBK, Forge Intercooler, KW V1 suspension, H&R Anti-roll bars, Forge DV, PF Engine mounts, Forge Hoses & Turbo kit, Carbonio.

Featured in some mags

Problems with overheating brakes on track so I put in some cooling ducts  :happy2:

Trip into the gravel at The Old Hair Pin (Donnington) was a good excuse to get some 18” BBS CH black edition wheels  :ashamed:

13.6 @ Santa Pod (its just the camera angle that makes Ben look good  )

An unhealthy Carbon obsession begins after a trip to The TT Shop, Bedford.
Osir front fog vents, Bonnet & Grille

Bonnet Sides painted white

I fitted Bonnet catches as the corners were lifting with the wind on a long straight

Another trip to The TT Shop and Revo Stage 2+, Autotech pump, Forge Intake & Catch tank

I modified an engine cover to fit with the Intake

Track day at Silverstone with Phil and Simon and their VW Cup cars, just before their first season.

nice work, it's always good to see the progress/updates on a car. I'll be the first to admit CW 3DR Editions are growing on me.

For those that may not know me, some years ago I had a motor bike accident that left me in a wheelchair (paralysed from the chest down) and I drive with hand controls, on the right hand side, Push for Brake – Pull for throttle, obviously has to be DSG.

The lads at VWR have done a great job  :congrats: and we have designed some things specific to my needs:

Extended roll bar to help me transfer from Recaro to wheelchair as the side wings make it quite difficult.

Fixings for wheelchair wheels and lock down points for frame.

Dug out the old Dremel and adapted the centre console to take a small fire extinguisher.

Had a play with Photoshop and the art work made into stickers.

Still a few bits I want to do:

•Get a set of spare wheels with slick tyres, we positioned the roll cage to get them in the back,
•Tidy up the wiring looms,
•Template & cut some carbon panels in the rear,

 :happy2:
