Do i need both the duct pipes for the rear vents to work? I have got the complete arm rest 2nd hand with the long single duct, I'm assuming that is all i need?

If you look at the exploded diagram you need both pipes 10 and 11. 11 is the pipe that runs through the armrest itself, and 10 runs from the base of the dash through the transmission tunnel to the armrest location.
If you dont have 10 then the part number is at the top of the document and is about £9 + VAT from VW also dont worry if the pipe you get is a slightly different shape I think they re-designed it so that it didnt go to either side of the gearstick and just runs down 1 side.

..........some just have cup holders there.Should have been standard along with mfsw & highline.
