That's a bona fide real car. I can't remember the name of the kit maker though. :ashamed:

Yeah, it's the Revozport Razor kit.

Would have thought it'll be announced later this year with Jan '12 onwards deliveries.

They've a lot of scope, but I think it'll be reasonably conservative and with a bigger ED30 style output.
Sideways yo!

Can't see how they'd up the power without treading on the R's toes? If  there is one, I'd expect it to just be a posher version, but I reckon there won't be anything until year 40, the next proper milestone.

The 25th got the 1st of the 180BHP motors, the ED30 was pitched between the GTI and R, I expect they'd either squeeze a bit from the current lump or de-tune the R's motor?

I wouldn't expect much more off piste at 40, they didn't exactly celebrate 20 - the MKIII Anniversary was junk!
Sideways yo!

The mk7 is rumoured to be out late 2012, so the next special might be held back for that version.

Why such a short run for the MK6 ? Is that because the MK6 is rubbish
The Next edition of an uprated Golf must have a different engine ? They have finsihed producing the TSI engines so whats next ?
And where to position it in their range will be difficult.
I expect an Edition 40 and not 35 due to all of the above and other reasons.

MK6 is only a Mk5.5 really, so put the 5 and the 5.5 together and you get a standard length of time  :booty:

We all know it will just be a parts bin special based on the scirocco R engine and box ie an edition 30 engine with more power.

I reckon VW should go for it and bring out an R-GTI Edition 35 with the 5 pot at 300bhp

We know when released it will be 2 wheels drive still, no K04 on the newer TSI so if it is bigger than the current engine it will have to be the older K04 Ed30/R engine probably detuned a little (235 hp maybe!) unless they shock and just up the newer engine - but dont think they have done this elsewhere so I doubt

LED DRL's R style bumper, LED rears (as GTi's have now anyway)
special edition interior
different wheels
price hike

is what I reckon

2.5TSI... yeah right.
