Love the fact the 'BMW garage' visit was a ploy Tom

I genuinely thought you had a 135i up your sleeve but I think you chose correctly imo
The colour and specs are extremely tasty. 'Played lad  :happy2:

What other cars did you test drive? I'd guess with that sort of budget it was a hard decision!

AMV8? M3? 135i? XKR? 997?

I guess brand new the TT-RS doesn't really have any natural competitors...

Yeah the BMW garage was to go and have a chat about the  new 1M thingy! They didn't really know much and I still can't get my head around the looks so I thought I would look elsewhere!

A quick visit to the Audi garage on Sunday proved an expensive one, I was originally looking at second hand ones but saw this one in the showroom and it had preety much every option ticked, I couldn't resist.

The engine in these things is just pure class, they feel VERY quick in standard from and a sound is to die for with the sport button engaged. The sound is so so different from the 2.0 TFSI, the only way I can describe it is the 2.0 being a more mechanically tuned sound, where the 2.5 has more of a deep burble, almost R32-esque! I cannot imagine how quick they are when Revo'd

I looked at a lot of other options, the 1M sounds like an awesome bit of kit on paper but no matter how hard I try I can't get round the looks!

M3, XKR, 997, AM V8 etc etc....have gargantuan engines that will gulp fuel for fun and are expensive to insure, and TBH I think they are all cars beyond my years

I'd love to see that after it's been fully corrected!

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

Hey guys and gals! Not posted for a while, a new job has meant that I have been stacked out and not had any free time at all!  :sad1:

After much deliberation with what to do with the S3 for months I finally bit the bullet today and bought a new car! Wasn't originally go down this route but after the test drive I was blown away!

So in a few weeks I a Sepang Blue TT-RS is on it's way!  :jumpmove:

It's got all the bells and whistles, Nav, AMI, Recaro Buckets, Mag Ride etc etc....To say i'm quite excited is an understatement! Many sleepless nights ahead now  :sad1:

Tom  :happy2:

You have the colour and spec everyone on VAG OC wanted  :signLOL:

Dont know what spec your S3 was in but if its stage 2 plus  its basically on par with the TTRS. A mapped TTRS is just stupid quick you gotta revo it absolutely transforms the car but might aswell wait till after winter now as I can spin all 4 wheels in 2nd in the wet, no idea what it would do in the snow and ice!

TT-RS I can get the kids into.

Are they double-jointed?

I meant the RS3 is a TT=RS you can get the kids in.

Kind Of.

I get adults into the back of mine nearly every weekend

Tell em to duck as we go over speed bumps or they will hit their heads  :signLOL:
