Rear wheel rubbing
«

Ok it looks like Im going to struggle to sell my wheels so I may as well try them on. After thinking about options for the front Im now thinking about the rear. Has anyone ever encountered rubbing on the rear and what was it that was rubbing?
The reason Im asking is that I will be using the car to tow my motorbike + trailer and with all the gear in the back it can compress the suspension quite a bit so Im a little worried about rubbing. Not bothered too much if its liner etc I just dont want the outer arch to be damaged.

Of course, 8.5x18, ET42. Have a set of 225/40 Goodyear F1's to fit. Might go for 215's. The cars never going to be on track, just daily use.

I have same size nearly, 45 offset on mine and get slight rubbing on the driver's side for some reason though mine is pretty low, though i have 235 PS2 on. 215 will solve your problems, just dont rag it round bends as i have heard of tires pulling of the rim at that size with that spec wheel.
