Whiteline WALK kit help please....
« on: December 02, 2010, 04:46:20 pm »
I see there is a 16 page thread on this and have tried to read some of it. There seemed to be a difference of opinion between RR and TC as to whether a road car also needs to have some OEM bushes replaced at same time.

Is there any update on this? I was primarily looking at WALK for my ED30 after REVO stage 1 one next fri as thought would help get the extra power down but would i simply be better off looking at eibach/bilstein kit?

I didn't chage any bushes, fitted it and it made a difference.

you WILL notice gains without the bushes without a shadow of a doubt.  however, the buses are pretty cheap so you may as well spend the extra £20ish and fit them

....IIRC I don't think that TC and I were disagreeing as such but rather that I was saying you don't need to change the wishbone bushes but by doing so you might help longer term bush wear. I had been advised by VWR to change them while fitting the WALKS. At the time, VWR were unfamiliar with the WALKS and their advice was based on their track experiences of where the stresses would be.

I have KW-V3 coilovers and would also strongly recommend Bilstein which are more easily adjustable. You can use WALK in addition to coilovers as they improve the castor.
