I want my 2005 DV back
winrya:
Is it just 2005 cars that have the rather loud dumping sound when you ease off the accelerator or change gear?? My car made this lovely noise (not chavvy loud but interesting) from day one but last week i decided maybe it was time to pop the revision G DV on as a precaution. Its now barely noticable even with the window down and you could hear it very easily before (even with the windows closed and radio on). The car feels exactly the same but wondered if the revised design was responsible for the missing noise?

What happens when the DV fails??? does it damage anything??

You lose boost and power if it splits. Good idea to change to the revision if you're planning on remapping as the earlier ones quite often fail

I always find it strange when people say this, why not wait until it goes. Or does it cause some damage when it does go. :rolleye:

For a matter of £50 I'd rather just remove the chance of it failing and as I was having something else done I thought why not
