My guess is he spotted the clio in his mirrors, then looked back at the track ahead, realised he hadn't braked yet for the bend or turned, did both at the same time equalling fail.  :driver:

id bet thats not to far off the truth as well

What an inconsiderate driver, he gets out checks the car first then lets his passenger who was clearly injured out.  :fighting:

100% a Brit car. Looks like he simply missed the turn in by possibly being distracted and got onto the filthy outside of the track with no grip.

My guess the passenger stuffed his ankle by trying to press the non-existant brake pedal, the shock through the bulkhead into his leg on impact doing the damage.

I might be wrong, but watching from the Clio there seems to be a bit of a shimmy before turn in, almost like he was attempting a Finnish flick to drift for the crowds??

It's horrible when you push someone into a mistake, was clearly trying to get away from a better driver, worst thing you can do at that place.

Looks horrendous and the kind of thing that scares me off going track racing.  :scared:

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

It makes me feel sick seeing that impact, I've only been on the track once in one of my Subaru's, and would love to try the ring, but I really could not afford a mistake :(
I do feel for the guy and his poor car.

but thats easy, stay within your limits, dont race people, and if you see someone coming up, just let them past.  Far to many guys dont like letting cars past on the ring
