Changing rear tail light.....
« on: December 05, 2010, 05:01:22 pm »
Some f***** has broken one of my tail lights. Its on the passenger side, the part that fits into the boot panel.
Ive ordered a replacement - any guides on how to fit it??
Is it an easy DIY job??

I can do it in less than 10 minutes without removing the inner trim.
You need small hands, iirc a 10mm  open spanner and someone to hold the boot lid so that it's horizontal. There is a small plastic panel you remove allowing access to the two securing nuts.
The lid must be held horizontal as if you drop one of the two securing nuts you may have to remove the entire inner trim to find it.
Without traction power is nothing!

Cheers mate - removed the panel and can see the nuts I need to get to. Not sure how to get a spanner into them just yet though - will try tomorrow when its a little lighter!
