Potential Engine/trans mount issues
« on: December 05, 2010, 01:24:26 am »
From what I understand this forum is knowledgable on the 2.0T DSG driveline - I have a Mk2 TT.

I'm noticing some "roughness" upon starting the car (seems more noticable when cold) or when stopped and switching into Drive/Reverse - it's subtle but it's there = especially felt through the brake pedal. From my perspective it seems like an engine or transmission mount is not 100% - perhaps damaged or weakened by my 1/4 mile runs - it was definately not there before the runs. Is there a specific engine mount ( controls engine movement under hard accelleration) that might be weakaned from teh runs? Seems like the drivetrain may be moving more that it should. Just to be sure, I noticed my brothers FWD TT does not exibit the same behaviour - its subtle no dought but rarely not so subtle.

I will be taking it in hopefully they will awknowledge there is an issue.

Any thoughts, experience or how I can isolate teh problem?

Look forward to your replies!
