Warranty Advice Needed.
« on: December 08, 2010, 10:38:24 am »
Sorry this isnt a VW matter, but the misses got a wee citreon c2 to bob back and forward to work in, as part of the deal we got a years warranty. (with the garage)

Yesterday on the way to the shops, the dash board lit up like a Christmas tree, just about every warning light that could be on was: ABS, EPS, HANDBREAK, SEATBELT AND AIRBAG

booked it in to get checked, no problem.

Phone call today sayin there diagnostic machine cant read it, so is going to need to be sent away to get checked, however if its not covered by their warranty then I will be billed.   :fighting:
Surely if every warning light in the dash has came on there is some sort of serious fault and not just down to wear and tear.

Any advice, would be much appreciated, apart from you shouldnt have got a citreon, (thats obvious now, lol)

Did you buy it from a main Citroen dealer or a second hand car dealer?

If it is from a Citroen dealer then this is definately covered under their approved used warranty.

If it is a second hand car garage then it is totally upto what warranty the garage has put on and the level of cover given.

Do you have any details of who the warranty is with?

I got a load of stuff through the door but cant find any of it, lol the misses has prob put it away in a safe place.
Wasnt a citreon dealer but is quite a reputable, local garage.
hopefully find the warranty documents and get reading through them and see where I stand.
